How to setup Nest from scratch and set it up with a flowthrough humidifier.
I take no responsibility for incorrect settings. Do at your own risk. If you do not feel comfortable, call a licenced Nest Tech or HVAC person.

Here is the wiring:
Remove the 24Volt adapter and the Humidistat that comes with the system.
Then: Run one wire from humidifier to * on Nest (orange)
Another wire from humidifier to C on furnace control board
Another wire from C on furnace control board to C on Nest (blue)

How to Build a Solar Panel from scratch

This video will show you exactly how to build a solar panel from scratch. The construction mainly requires basic carpentry and some soldering.

Every hour the sun beams onto Earth more than enough energy to satisfy global energy needs for an entire year. Solar energy is the technology used to harness the sun’s energy and make it useable. Today, the technology produces less than one tenth of one percent of global energy demand.

Many people are familiar with so-called photovoltaic cells, or solar panels, found on things like spacecraft, rooftops, and handheld calculators. The cells are made of semiconductor materials like those found in computer chips. When sunlight hits the cells, it knocks electrons loose from their atoms. As the electrons flow through the cell, they generate electricity.

On a much larger scale, solar thermal power plants employ various techniques to concentrate the sun’s energy as a heat source. The heat is then used to boil water to drive a steam turbine that generates electricity in much the same fashion as coal and nuclear power plants, supplying electricity for thousands of people.

In one technique, long troughs of U-shaped mirrors focus sunlight on a pipe of oil that runs through the middle. The hot oil then boils water for electricity generation. Another technique uses moveable mirrors to focus the sun’s rays on a collector tower, where a receiver sits. Molten salt flowing through the receiver is heated to run a generator.

Other solar technologies are passive. For example, big windows placed on the sunny side of a building allow sunlight to heat-absorbent materials on the floor and walls. These surfaces then release the heat at night to keep the building warm. Similarly, absorbent plates on a roof can heat liquid in tubes that supply a house with hot water.

Solar energy is lauded as an inexhaustible fuel source that is pollution and often noise free. The technology is also versatile. For example, solar cells generate energy for far-out places like satellites in Earth orbit and cabins deep in the Rocky Mountains as easily as they can power downtown buildings and futuristic cars.

📝 To build a 100W solar panel you need:
➥ 6×6 solar cells kit:
2mm tabbing wire (pre solder coated).
5mm tabbing wire (buss wire).
Solder Wire. (Used to tin the solder iron, also used to solder the tab cells on the buss wire).
Flux Pen. Prevents beading of the solder.
Strapping Tape (sure tape).
Regular tape.
(useful to hold the solar cells).
Sillicone Paste-like seal (UV christaline).
Untabbed Cells
Solar Panel Aluminium Frame
Clear Epoxy Resin 40 ounces / 1Kg. + Epoxy Hardener 2 Epoxy resin x 1 Hardener. ➥ Best to use is Silicone Elastomer Sylgard 184
➥ 6 or 8 gauge AWG Solar Wire (10 gauge 30Amps, 8 gauge 40Amps, 6 gauge 55Amps)
➥ Solder Iron 60/80W
➥ Multimeter. (Volts and Amps).
➥ 20 Amps PWM Charge controller
➥ 300/600W DC/AC Inverter
➥ 12V 48Ah Depp Cycle Battery
12V 90Ah Depp Cycle Battery
12V 120Ah Depp Cycle Battery

✦ Polycrystalline Solar Cells
+ The process used to make polycrystalline silicon is simpler and cost less.
+ Polycrystalline solar panels tend to have slightly lower heat tolerance than monocrystalline solar panels.
– The efficiency of polycrystalline-based solar panels is 14-16%.
– Lower space-efficiency. You need to cover more surface to output the same electrical power as Monocrystalline cells.

✦ Monocrystalline Solar Cells
+ Monocrystalline solar cells have the highest efficiency rates.
+ Monocrystalline silicon solar cells are space-efficient.
+ Monocrystalline cells have a long lifespan.
+ Monocrystalline solar panels tend to be more efficient in warm weather.
– Monocrystalline solar panels are the most expensive.
