To stop this you have to insulate them – a layer of still air is best. In this GIY project we insulate a timber sash window with window insulation film.
It is affordable, easy and really makes a difference.

Build this window heater that uses the suns energy to heat your home or garage in the winter. No more drilling holes through the wall or rigging power hungry fans to blow air through your solar heater. This heater uses a thermosiphon effect to pull in room temperature (cold) air as it expels hot air into the room.

You can weatherize windows easily with a plastic insulating film. I show a couple tips on the steps. I like to remove the backing on the tape one section at a time to make the installation easier.

I installed an external plug and I connect multiple flexible solar panels to an small MPPT charge controller with bluetooth monitoring. This setup is great to add more solar to your RV or use it as your primary solar charging system.

Got drafty windows? No problem! Tonight I’m going through my house and sealing off those drafty windows with bubble wrap.
YOU WILL NEED:
Water spray bottle
Bubble wrap will keep the cold air out and trap the warm air inside. Start by measuring your window from frame to frame.
Roll out and measure the bubble wrap, then cut
Spray the window with water
Gently press the flat side of the bubble wrap against the window, and smooth it out.
HI EVERYONE! ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I POSTED BUT HERE IS MY LATEST! INSTALLING A WINDOW AC UNIT INTO THE PLAYHOUSE. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS I INSTALLED THE WINDOW AC UNIT INTO THE WALL. I ALSO TAPPED INTO MY 12 GUAGE WIRE FOR OUTLETS AND INSTALLED A HIDDEN OUTLET TO HIDE THE CORD TO THE AC UNIT BEHIND THE WALL. THERE IS ALSO A PORTION THAT SHOWS HOW I MADE AN AWNING TO COVER THE AC UNIT ON THE OUTSIDE. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS WALKING INTO AT THE TIME OF INSTALLATION BUT I FIGURED I WOULD MAKE IT AS I WENT! IF ANYONE HAS ANY OTHER IDEAS PLEASE SEND THEM MY WAY SO THAT I CAN USE THEM FOR THE NEXT TIME I INSTALL ONE OF THESE! THANKS FOR TUNING IN AND HOPE YOU ENJOY! CHEERS!- ALEX Q!
