Emerson Ceiling Fans

More than 110 years ago, Emerson invented the world’s first alternating current motor for ceiling fans and since then they’ve been an industry leader in innovative fan technology.  In fact, they still hold patents on two primary methods of controlling fan speeds, used by fan manufacturers around the world.

Emerson’s pursuit of excellence carries on still today.  They’re one of the largest producers of fan motors in the world and their motors, always on the leading edge of technology, have set the industry standard throughout the years.

Emerson ceiling fans are famous for their quality workmanship and superior manufacturing materials.  They offer an impressive selection of styles and exclusive finishes to compliment any decor.  And each fan and accessory is backed by one of the strongest warranties in the industry. Emerson’s aim is to be number one in customer satisfaction by supplying superior products.  To that end, their Air Comfort Division is designing, manufacturing and distributing the highest quality fans the industry has to offer.

What Makes Emerson Fans So Special?

The Blades:  Each blade is hand-made from six cross-laminated layers of top quality veneer and then sealed to resist moisture.  They’re weighted and precisely matched and balanced to prevent wobbling and assure smooth, silent operation.  Indoor/Outdoor blades are made of weather-resistant polymers for lasting beauty.

The Finishes:  All plated finishes are hand-polished and lacquered for long-lasting beauty.  Painted finishes are electro-statically applied powder coating or hand-painted to achieve a rich depth of color.

The Fitters:  Choose from six different fitters and a variety of glass or crystal shades to customize your ceiling fan and create an additional light source for you room.

Emerson Fan Motors

The most important part of any ceiling fan is the motor and Emerson is the largest producer of fractional horsepower induction motors in the world.  Their K55XL motor sets the industry standard for precision operation and optimal performance.

The K55XL features large ball bearings for smoother operation.  The motor housing is sealed so it never needs oiling.  And the die-cast ends and heavy-gauge windings protect the motor from overheating.

Additionally, Emerson’s Silent Hub works as a shock absorber to isolate the wobble-free blades and eliminate noise transmission. The Emerson Eco Motor uses up to 75% less energy than other ceiling fan motors and on high speed it only uses 24 watts of energy.

Emerson Ceiling Fans Are Optimized For Superior Performance

When used properly a ceiling fan can help reduce your heating and cooling costs year round.  Emerson fans are optimized in four critical areas to provide superior performance:

Motor RPM:  A high number of revolutions per minute is only beneficial if you also optimize the fan blades.

Blade Surface Area:  The larger the blade, the more air it will move.

Blade Pitch:  To prevent wobbling and noise, the blade holders must be perfectly matched so the blades are aligned to the same exact degrees of pitch.

Blade Sweep:  The blade sweep, or diameter, will also have an effect on how much air is moved.

  1. When the twins were born, we bought an Emerson for their new room since it was quite small and we worried about the air circulation. We don’t turn it on when they are napping or sleeping at night, but the rest of the time we keep it running to keep that room from getting stuffy.
